THE CHALLENGE The client works directly with several retail product manufacturers to provide consumer behavior data from the product registration warranty cards filled in by the consumers. The objective was to help clients to acquire new customers and develop relationships with existing ones. Marketing Solutions maintains large and comprehensive databases containing geographic, demographic and lifestyle information on consumers. The client wanted to append hundreds of characteristics (such as length and type of residence, number of people in the household, estimated income and consumer interests such as leisure, sports and shopping preferences) to the data held in these databases. In doing so, they would be able to provide clients with the information and tools to help them match relevant offers or products to the right customers, using the most appropriate communications channels.
